OUR MISSION We combine distinctive design with masterful craftsmanship for furniture pieces of the highest quality that delight our customers around the world. In doing so, our inspiration is global, our style eclectic and our attitude optimistic - with a clear commitment to tradition, region and craftsmanship. More about us Sophisticated, extraordinary and elegant: Wittmann’s Novelties Spring 2024 are all about these characteristics. First collaborations with designers Philippe Nigro and Federica Biasi bring forth creations of subtle excellence and stylish comfort. A timeless and versatile classic from Wittmann Workshop is being revived and Sebastian Herkner is adding a perfectly crafted compact armchair version to his successful dining chair design. Typically for the Austrian manufactory, the spring 2024 products stand for the combination of distinctive design with masterful craftsmanship, executed in the highest quality. As a category, small armchairs have an important role to play in every interior: in spacious and compact rooms, as part of a seating group, as stand-alone pieces, as a faithful companion to modular furniture, as a favourite place to sit. The myriad strengths of Herkner's beautifully proportioned lounge version of his MORTON Dining Chair extend to all areas of living and working. The series’ eye-catching shape, the option to mix and match covering materials and its high level of seating comfort seemed destined for use away from the dining table. Classic club chairs are best dressed in deep-buttoned or quilted covers. But for JOSEPH, Philippe Nigro has instigated a dialogue between this traditional aesthetic and an inviting, flat surface: the soft, smoothly upholstered seat and backrest are protectively enclosed by a quilted upholstered shell, which also forms the armrests. The gridded quilting – redolent of the goldsmithery that came out of the Secession movement – adds a decorative element while defining the piece’s proportions. The strict formal lines of the armrest shell contrast harmoniously with the seat, where a Wittmann pocket spring core and ingeniously devised polymousse structure assure maximum comfort. The proportions of its familiar form function effortlessly in generous groups that are primed for communication. This lightness is predicated on meticulous development work, with successful and versatile modularity the clear outcome: VUELTA Modular includes corner pieces and intermediate elements, as well as chaise longue elements, and gently curved elements that form an impressive semicircle. This flexibility delivers exceptionally high value for interior planning – in residential and contract settings alike. VUELTA Modular permits a variety of combinations that can be adapted individually to rooms and spaces with different requirements. Like all members of the VUELTA family, the individual modules deliver the inimitable level of comfort synonymous with a genuine Wittmann thanks to their pocket spring cores and high-quality polymousse structure. "Wittmann has a great design tradition and culture is an important part of the company's DNA. I have always admired this – and the passion for excellent craftsmanship, which I share. The current collection is an expression of the potential for innovation unlocked by our collaboration, which is itself hallmarked by mutual appreciation and respect."Jaime Hayon In fact, ATRIUM combines several of Wittmann's specialities: an innate ability to bring the greatest possible degree of comfort to any form, its playful mastery of the art of combining distinctive and aesthetic design with remarkable functionality, and the company’s unsurpassed expertise when it comes to all aspects of peaceful sleep. Designed in the 1970s as a modular sofa system based on the cubic forms that fully reflected the spirit of the times, ATRIUM is also the perfect stylistic fit for 21st century feel-good living concepts: high-quality materials and a sophisticated structure hallmark the inside, while a casual, soft and inviting aesthetic sets the tone on the outside. “Designed in the 1970s as a modular living ensemble based on cubic forms, ATRIUM is also a perfect stylistic fit for the feel-good concepts of the 21st century: high-quality materials in a sophisticated build-up on the inside combined with a casual, soft and inviting outside.” Alice Wittmann Thanks to a simple, understated elegance, ADÈLE lends itself to a wide variety of interiors. As an alternative to the solid wood tabletop version and featuring two precisely executed dividing seams, the leather-covered variant opens up the table to upscale applications, such as office settings or particularly purist environments. Presenting a masterful take on Wittmann's design history, Philippe Nigro’s ADÈLE deftly harmonises a certain formal austerity with skilled working of the highest quality materials – and in doing so, rediscovers ornamentation as a stylistic element of Austrian design history. And the outstanding craftsmanship goes beyond the demanding execution that makes the piece what it is: Wittmann has brought the full weight of its experience and uncompromising precision to bear when it comes to stability, load performance and choice of assembly system. "Wittmann engages in a dialogue with the past while looking to the future. This capacity is inspiring.”Philippe Nigro BUN Armchair “The art of simplification is anything but simple.”Federica Biasi Virtual showroom OUR VIRTUAL SHOWROOM
